TEC Services provides a wide array of computer services to include hardware repairs; system upgrades; computer tune-ups; virus and spyware elimination; and correction of software problems such as a corrupted operating system. We have been providing warranty repair service for the Dell and Apple computer brands for more than ten years, and we are capable of repairing all brands of computers that are no longer covered by the factory warranty. Virtually all of our warranty repairs and the overwhelming majority of our non-warranty repairs are performed in our own facility. In some cases, the difficulty in obtaining specific replacement parts for non-warranty repairs makes it more cost effective to send the computer to one of our established commercial service partners.
We make our computer services available to UGA departments; students, faculty, and staff who own computers; the U.S. Government; and other State and local governmental agencies. The on-site service option is only available to UGA departments and other governmental agencies (Federal, State, and local) within the local Athens area. Privately-owned computers that require repairs or other types of service are carried into our service center that is located on South Campus directly behind Hardman Hall (Air Force ROTC Building). Students, faculty, and staff who are requesting our services will be asked to present a current UGA Identification Card. TEC Services offers two parking spaces adjacent to the main entrance that are reserved for the use of our customers who are picking-up or dropping-off equipment. We ask our customers to limit the use of these parking spaces to 15 minutes.
